Every kitchen is different. These are the things a cabinet maker looks at when pricing your job.

What affects the price	Why it matters
Size and layout Main factor	Measured in linear feet of base and wall units. Straight, L-shaped and U-shaped kitchens differ a lot.
Board and materials Durability	Melamine board costs least. MDF, plywood and solid wood cost more but finish and last differently.
Door style and finish Look	Flat melamine doors are simplest. Painted, sprayed, high-gloss and solid-wood doors take longer.
Hardware Function	Soft-close hinges, full-extension runners, pull-outs and corner units add to the price.
Countertop Optional	Laminate, quartz and granite vary widely. Often priced separately from the cabinets.
Removal and site work Setup	Taking out old units, uneven walls, plumbing and electrical changes affect the total.
